3 Mug Treats

3 Easy Microwave Mug Recipes

Mug Pizza, Edible Cookie Dough & Mug Brownie

Three amazing Microwave Mug Recipes that will satisfy those snack cravings! A stuffed crust mug pizza recipe, a cosmic microwave mug brownie recipe, and some amazing edible cookie dough balls in a mug - three delicious microwave treats. I love all of these easy microwave mug recipes, so I really can’t choose a favorite! The mug pizza is great because it’s has a stuffed crust - usually, with microwave mug pizza recipes, I find there’s way too much dough at the bottom the mug. The edible cookie dough is the perfect texture, and so quick to prepare because you cook the flour off in the microwave. Finally, I love the cosmic microwave mug brownie because of that shiny ganache topping and the mini M&M’S!

Steps

In a microwave mug/tea cup about 6oz (170ml) in size, melt the butter and chocolate together. Cut the chocolate into small chunks, and leave the butter in a big piece, otherwise the butter will start to fry before the chocolate gets a chance to melt.

Add the sugar and the room temp milk.

Add flour, baking powder and salt and mix to combine.

Microwave for anywhere between 1 minute and 1 minute and 30 seconds. Do not over cook!

For the topping you can either use: chocolate sauce, ganache or simply mix some melted chocolate with a splash of milk. Add some chocolate candies on top or mini M&M’S and ENJOY warm!!

Steps

In a microwavable mug/tea cup about 6oz (170ml) in size add flour, salt and baking powder and mix to combine. You can also add some dried herbs.

Add mild flavored oil and milk and mix to combine.

Mix in some flavorful cheese (I like to cut the cheese into small pieces. Shredded cheese just gets lost in the crumb) and microwave your mug pizza "crust" on high for 1 minute.

Add 1 tbsp of pizza sauce, shredded mozzarella or any other meltable cheese, pepper, herbs and microwave again for about 30 - 40 seconds, we're just looking for the cheese to melt.

Allow to cool for 3 - 4 minutes and enjoy fresh and hot.

Steps

In a microwave-safe bowl, add your flour and microwave on high for 1 minute. Heat-treating the flour kills bacteria and it cooks off that raw flour taste.

You'll notice the flour will have formed clumps, this is due to the water evaporating. Break up the clumps using a spatula and allow the flour to cool down. To speed things up, I place the bowl in the freezer for 5 minutes.

Add brown sugar, sugar, melted butter, salt (DO NOT SKIP THE SALT, salt is a must for cookie dough), and milk and mix to combine.

Add 2 tbsp of chocolate chips or any other mix ins you like and enjoy!

Pro Tips

The cookie dough will be soft (see minute 1:00 into the video). This is due to the melted butter and milk. I personally like it this way, but if you want a stiffer consistency you and pop it in the fridge to set up (minute 1:08 of the video).
