Ingredients
For the cookies
375 g (3 cups) All purpose flour
3 Egg yolks
150 g (1 cup & 3 tbsp) Powdered sugar
225 g (2 sticks) Very cold butter
1 tsp Vanilla extract
¼ tsp Salt

Method
For the cookies
In a food processor, add the flour, powdered sugar, salt and butter, and pulse until fine crumbs form.
Add the egg yolks and vanilla extract, and pulse until the dough comes together.
Divide the dough into six equal parts, and dye each portion a different color.
Refrigerate the dough portions for at least 30 minutes.
Roll out each piece of dough and cut into strips.
Assemble the strips together by using some water, so the strips stick together (see the video for details. Then, cut out the cookies using a cookie cutter or a knife.
Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for about 10 minutes.
Bake in a preheated oven at 160 °C (320 °F) for around 20 - 22 minutes.
Allow to cool completely.

Store in an air-tight container.
