Ingredients
For the Italian hot chocolate
375 g (1½ cups) Milk
1 tbsp Cornstarch
100 g (3.5 oz) Dark chocolate
30 g (2½ tbsp) Sugar
2 tbsp Cocoa powder
Pinch of Salt
For the American hot chocolate
375 g (1½ cups) Milk
50 g (2 oz) Dark chocolate
30 g (2½ tbsp) Sugar
1 tbsp Cocoa powder
Pinch of salt
Method
For the Italian hot chocolate
Heat the milk in a pan.
In a small bowl, mix the cocoa powder and cornstarch with few a spoons of milk until creamy.
Add the sugar and chopped chocolate to the milk and heat, stirring until it comes to a gentle simmer and the mixture thickens.
Decorate and enjoy with whipped cream.
For the American hot chocolate
Heat the milk in a pan
Add the cocoa powder and sugar to the milk.
Add the chopped chocolate and stir until it dissolved.
Decorate with marshmallows and enjoy.
