Ingredients

For the cake

75 g (3oz) Dark Chocolate 70% cocoa

75 g (⅔ stick) Butter

100 g (½ cup) Sugar

50 g (¼ cup & 1 tbsp) All purpose flour

20 g (3 tbsp) Cocoa powder

2 Medium eggs

½ tsp Baking powder (add only ¼ tsp for a denser texture)

Pinch of salt

For the Glaze

100 g (3.5 oz) Dark chocolate, cut into small pieces

100 g (3.5 oz) Heavy cream

2 tbsp light flavored honey or glucose

Pinch of salt

 

Method

For the cake

In a large bowl melt butter and chocolate together.

Add the cocoa powder.

Add the sugar.

Add the eggs.

Add the flour, salt, baking powder.

Transfer mixture into a 7 or 8 inch greased pan, lined with parchment paper.

Bake the brownie cake in a preheated oven at 160 °C (320 °F) for around 18 minutes.

Allow to cool completely.

To Glaze

In a bowl melt the chocolate and heavy cream together.

Add the honey or glucose.

Pour over the cake.
