Ingredients
For the Muffins
180 g (1 cup) Brown sugar
220 g (1½ cups) All purpose flour
50 g (½ cup) Unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp Baking soda
½ tsp Baking powder
300 g (1¼ cup) Buttermilk
130 g (1 stick + 1 tbsp) Melted butter
1 Egg
Pinch of salt
Nutella
Method
For the Muffins
In a large bowl combine the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
In another bowl combine the melted butter, egg and butter milk.
Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients.
Pour the batter into muffin liners. In the center of each muffin add frozen Nutella.
Bake the muffins in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for 10 minutes. Then lower the oven to 180°C (350°F) and continue baking for another 10 - 15 minutes.
Once cool, store in an air-tight container.
