Mug Twinkie

(Twinkie Mug Cake Recipe)

 

Ingredients

20 g (1½ tbsp) Butter or flavorless oil

15 g (¾ tbsp) Sugar

45 g (3 tbsp) Milk

35 g (4 tbsp) All purpose flour

¼ tsp Baking powder

One dash (around ⅛ - ¼ tsp) of vanilla extract

Marshmallow fluff

 

Method

You will need a small mug about 6oz (170ml) in size.

Melt the butter in your mug.

Add the sugar, vanilla extract (be careful when dosing this) and room temperature milk and mix to combine.

Add the baking powder and flour and mix to combine.

Scrape the bottom of the mug, clean the edges and place the mug in the center of your microwave. Cook on high for between 1 minute and 1 minute and 30 seconds.

Allow the mug cake to sit for 2 minutes, then carve out the center and add a dollop of marshmallow fluff.

Cover and allow to sit for another minute. The warm mug cake will melt the marshmallow fluff.

Enjoy warm.

Tips

If you’re using grams, please be precise and use the exact amounts in therecipe. If you're using spoons use measuring spoons made specifically for baking.

Every microwave is different. Mug cakes can take anywhere between 1 minute - 1 minute and 15 seconds. Be careful not over cook your mug cake.

Remember, different ingredients have different densities. So don’t get confused when you see in the ingredients that 2 tbsp of flour and 2 tbsp of sugar have different amounts in grams.
